Watch This Big Cat Brawl That Breaks Out When Lions Corner an Undersized Leopard

Bigger doesn’t always mean better. Don’t let the salespeople fool you! However, there is power in numbers. We see this when the largest of lions attempts to steal away a kill, but multiple lions band together to fight against him.

At the start of this YouTube clip shown at the bottom of this blog post, we are taken to Africa. This video was shared by the Wildlife Struggle YouTube page. This channel is all about sharing things on wildlife stories, about the life of wild animals, and how wild animals struggle for existence according to their channel. They started their page just a year and a half ago, in 2022, and have already received over 500 million views.

Where Do Lions and Leopards Live?

Given that these animals are both lions and leopards and given the surrounding landscape, this looks to be taking place in Africa. The majority of lions, approximately 80%, live in both eastern and southern Africa. Leopards can also live in eastern and southern Africa but are a bit more widespread. According to the African Wildlife Foundation, they have this to say about where leopards live.

“They occur in a wide range of habitats; from deserts and semi-desert regions of southern Africa, to arid regions of North Africa, to savanna grasslands of East and southern Africa, to mountainous environments on Mt. Kenya, to the rainforests of West and Central Africa.”

Lions Vs. Leopard

At the start of this video, we see a leopard on the ground and surrounded by other grown lions. He is lying down in such a way that tells us there was already some type of fight, and he is smartly lying still as these lions have too much strength to attempt anything.

Suddenly, we see the largest of the lions coming in aggressively. He goes for the leopard, and immediately, the other lions take offense. They rush in on the lion, and we see him sit on the leopard. It’s as if he is claiming this leopard, even though he did not catch it.

It’s at this point we see all the lions begin a full-out brawl with this lion. While he might be bigger than the others, they have more in numbers.
