Posing next to a crocodile may not seem like the most sensible thing to do, but in at least two areas of Africa it is encouraged. The first is a in Paga in Ghana. Guides can summon the crocodiles to the shore when there are some tourists who want to take their picture. Another is the Kachikally crocodile pool in Gambia. This is a privately owned pool where crocodiles roam freely and can be approached and touched by tourists.
