Washington is known for its picturesque location and stunning views of snowy mountains and crystal-clear lakes. It’s also a top destination for skiing enthusiasts looking to hit the slopes. Unlike a hotel, a resort is a destination in its own right, offering dining, entertainment, shopping, and more.

Whether you’re looking for an adventurous skiing expedition or hoping to enjoy nature from the comfort of your front porch, these seven large resorts in Washington have plenty to offer.

1. Suncadia Resort

Suncadia Resort features over 6,000 acres of forested mountain landscape and multiple options for lodging. One choice is the Lodge at Suncadia, a luxury condominium hotel with gorgeous mountain views that overlooks the Cle Elum River Valley. The Lodge includes 254 full-service rooms and amenities such as Portals Restaurant and Coal House Market.

Visitors can also choose from 14 exclusive guest rooms and 4 suites at the Inn at Suncadia. This building offers a more intimate experience in a lodging nestled below the Cascade Mountains. Finally, Suncadia’s Vacation Homes offer private spaces for families, couples, or small groups.

There’s plenty to do at this enormous resort. Tee off at Suncadia’s scenic 36-hole golf course or book a luxurious service at Glade Spring Spa.

Suncadia’s numerous acres of land are a great spot for picturesque hiking and biking. The resort also offers a fitness center, indoor and outdoor spas, and pools. Visitors can even choose one of Suncadia’s “Vacation Itineraries” which cater to couples, families, and work groups.
