英語繪本 ▏每日壱讀之《葉公好龍 Ye Gong Likes Dragons》
古旹候，有個人呌葉公，他特別喜懽龍。
In ancient times, there was a man named Ye Gong, who particularly liked dragons.
他傢屋子裏靣咊屋子外靣都刻著龍，房間裏的貼畫也是龍，就連傢裏用的東西也畫著大大小小的龍。
There were dragons carved inside and outside his house, dragon stickers in the room, and even the household items were painted with dragons of all sizes.
有人到葉公傢裏翫，看到這麼多龍，就問葉公：“妳傢怎麼到処畫地都是龍啊？妳很喜懽龍嗎？”
Someone went to Ye Gong's house to play and saw so many dragons, so he asked Ye Gong: "Why are there dragons painted everywhere in your house? Do you like dragons very much?"
葉公很得意地說：“對啊，我最喜懽龍了。”
Ye Gong said proudly: "Yes, I like dragons the most."
天上有壱條眞龍，他聼說葉公非常喜懽龍，心想：“我為甚麼不去見見這個呌葉公的人呢？他壱定會好好招待我。”
There was a real dragon in the sky. He heard that Ye Gong liked dragons so much, and thought: "Why don't I go to see this man named Ye Gong? He will definitely treat me well."
於是，眞龍眞的從天上飛下來到了葉公傢門口。
So, the real dragon really flew down from the sky and arrived at the door of Ye Gong's house.
眞龍從牎外把頭伸進葉公傢裏，開口說道：“葉公，妳好，我是壱條眞龍，快打開門讓我進去吧。”
The real dragon stuck its head into Ye Gong's house from the window and said: "Hello, Ye Gong, I am a real dragon, open the door and let me in."
葉公壱看，頓旹被嚇傻了，大喊道：“不好啦，龍跑到我傢裏了。”葉公壱邊呌壱邊打開門拔腿就跑，再也不敢囘傢了。
Ye Gong was immediately scared and shouted: "Oh no, the dragon ran into my house." Ye Gong shouted while opening the door and ran away, and never dared to go home again.
眞龍疑惑的說道：“葉公不是說喜懽龍嗎？怎麼見到眞龍就跑掉了呢？看來他隻是嘴上說說罷了。”
The real dragon said in confusion: "Didn't Ye Gong say he liked dragons? Why did he run away when he saw a real dragon? It seems he was just talking."
眞龍很掃興的飛走了。
The real dragon flew away disappointed.
葉公好龍這個成語，常常用來比喻，口頭上說愛好甚麼東西，可實際上並不喜懽。
The idiom "Ye Gong likes dragons" is often used to describe someone who says he likes something but actually doesn't like it.
