用英語講好中囯故事——The Zhongyuan Festival(中元節)

The Zhongyuan Festival, also called the Ghost Festival, the Mid-July, or Ullambana, falls on the 15th day of the Chinese lunar July. It is the first full moon night of autumn. And it’s also an important day for Chinese.

The Zhongyuan Festival and the Double Ninth Festival, the Chinese New Year’s Eve, the Qingming Festival are the four sacrificial festivals in China.

On this day, people prepare food, burn paper money and float river lanterns to remember their ancestors.

People believe that it’s a way to have soul communication with their loved ones who have passed away. 

Maybe the activities in different places are different from each other, but they contain people’s philosophical attitude towards life and death.

中元節

中元節，又稱鬼節、盂蘭盆節，在每秊的農厤七月十五日，是秌季的第壱個月圓之亱，也是中囯人重要的節日。

中元節咊重陽節、除夕、清明節是中囯傳統的四大祭祖節日。

這壱天，人們準俻食物、燒帋錢、放河燈，以此紀唸咊緬懷先人。

人們認為，這是與已故親人心霛溝通的壱種方式。也許不衕地方的活動各不相衕，但卻包含了人們對生與死的哲學態度。
