King Xuan of Qi liked listening to the ensemble music played by Yu.
A man named Mr. Nanguo who couldn't play the Yu boasted to the King about his exceptional Yu-playing skills.
The King was very pleased and without making any investigations, he included him in the ensemble team.
Whenever it came time to perform, Mr. Nanguo would mimic the movements of others, appearing to play fervently.
In this way, Mr. Nan Guo obtained generous rewards by cheating.
A few years later, King Xuan passed away.
His son King Min succeeded to the throne.
King Min also loved listening to the Yu, but he preferred solo performances.
So he asked each person to play for him one by one in turn.
Mr. Nan Guo could no longer deceive anyone and had to flee.
The only way to succeed is to study hard and acquire real skills. Relying solely on cheating will be exposed eventually.
