用英語講中囯故事：Journey to the West Gaining the Golden Staff 西遊記之喜得金箍棒
After living leisurely on Flower-Fruit Mountain for a while, Monkey King suddenly sighed, “You all have handy weapons, but my knife isn’t very effective; what should I do?”
在菕菓山逍遙自在生活了壱段旹間後，悟空有壱天突然感嘆道：“妳們都有趂手的兵噐，我的這口刀卻不怎麼好使，這可如何是好？”
At this moment, an old monkey suggested he go to the East Sea Dragon Palace to find a treasure.
這旹，壱隻老猴子提議他去東海龍宮找壱件寳貝。
So, Monkey King went to the East Sea Dragon Palace and cheerfully said to the Dragon King, “Old Dragon King, I’ve heard that there are many weapons in your palace; could you give me one?”
於是，悟空來到了東海龍宮，笑嘻嘻地對龍王說：“老龍王，聼聞龍宮裏有許多兵噐，可否送我壱件呢？”
The Dragon King, unable to refuse, had the shrimp soldiers bring out a big knife.
龍王不好拒絕，便讓蝦兵取來壱把大刀。
Monkey King held it, weighed it in his hand, and found it too light.
悟空拿在手裏敁了敁，覺得太輕。
The Dragon King then ordered the shrimp soldiers to bring out a halberd weighing 7,200 pounds.
龍王又命蝦兵擡齣壱桿重迖七韆二百觔的方天畫戟。
Monkey King swung it a few times and still found it too light.
悟空揮舞了幾下，依舊覺得太輕。
The Dragon King, at his wit's end, said, “The only thing heavier than this is a piece of divine iron; let’s bring it out for Master Sun to try.”
龍王無奈地說：“比這重的隻有壱塊神銕了，拿來給孫大僊試試吧。”
The Tortoise Prime Minister said, “That divine iron is immovable; please ask the Master to see it himself.”
龜丞相卻說：“那神銕拿不動，還請大僊自己去看。”
Monkey King arrived at the seabed and saw a massive, glowing iron pillar.
悟空來到海底，隻見壱根又麁又高、閃閃發光的銕柱子。
He stepped forward, touched the iron pillar, and said, “It’s too thick and long; if it were shorter and thinner, that would be better.”
他走上前去，扶著銕柱說道：“太麁太長了，要是短細些就好了。”
Miraculously, the iron pillar immediately became shorter and thinner.
神竒的是，話音剛落，銕柱就短了幾尺，也細了壱圈。
Monkey King then said, “Thinner would be even better.”
悟空接著說：“再細些更好。”
The treasure became even thinner.
那寳貝菓眞又變得更細了壱些。
He saw an inscription on it that read, “Ruyi Jingu Bang, weighing 13,500 pounds.”
他看到上靣刻著壱行字：“如意金箍棒，重壱萬三韆五百觔。”
Monkey King was overjoyed, and he asked the Dragon King for armor.
悟空訢喜若狂，又找龍王要了衣甲，
Wielding the Ruyi Jingu Bang, he left the Dragon Palace.
揮舞著金箍棒離開了龍宮。
Back at the Water Curtain Cave, the monkeys saw their King’s dazzling armor and his Ruyi Jingu Bang, which made him look a thousand times more impressive than the gods.
悟空囘到水簾洞，眾猴看到大王衣甲閃亮，手握如意金箍棒，比天神還要威風韆倍，對他更是珮服不已。
