Who knows if you will walk out a millionaire or not! However, what casinos are not known for is havingalligatorsoutside. Let’s take a look at the one found at a casino in Mississippi.

This breaking news takes us to the Waterview Casino in Vicksburg, Mississippi. It was reported that the alligator was sighed in the bushes at the edge of the parking lot, according to Wesh 2 News.
The video posted at the bottom of this blog post comes to us by way of the Vicksburg Daily News. News reporter David Day recorded the capture live on Facebook. He stated that the alligator looked to be about 4.5 feet in length. Vicksburg Daily shares a short description of what happened in the video below.
“An alligator made its way into the parking lot of Waterview Casino on Washington Street just before 3 p.m. today. Vicksburg Daily News arrived promptly on the scene to document the event.
The alligator, seemingly searching for a spot to hide, nestled itself behind some foliage in the lot. Multiple officials quickly responded to ensure the safety of both the public and the reptile.”
How Many Alligators Are in Mississippi?

The American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis) of the genus Alligator are large reptiles. Before we go into how many alligators there are in the great state of Mississippi, let’s take a look at who these reptiles are in size, what they eat, and finally, their population status.
How Big Are Alligators?
Alligators are brown, grey, yellow, black, and green in appearance. They can range in a variety of sizes from 400800 pounds (181-363 kilograms) and reach from 8-15 feet (2.5-4.5 meters) in length. Of course, this is just the estimated size of those who have been seen. As we saw from the video posted at the bottom, this alligator was about half this size.
What Do Alligators Eat?
Alligators are carnivores, which means they will eat meat. They are known to eat prey such as fish, snakes, turtles, small mammals, and birds. And mature alligators are known to eat bigger animals, such as deer and black bears.
What’s The Population of Alligators?
It is estimated that there are a whopping four million alligators in the United States. The two states with the highest populations are Louisiana and Florida. According to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, “We recently estimated that there are 32,000-38,000 alligators and about 408,000 acres of alligator habitat in Mississippi.”
