Kentucky is home to the Kentucky Derby, over 90 bourbon distilleries, Louisville Slugger baseball bats, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. The state’s largest cities are Louisville and Lexington. Likewise, Cincinnati, Ohio is separated from Kentucky by the Ohio River, but proximity makes this area a bustling cityscape. While these cities are the largest in the state, there are quite a number of towns that are quickly developing and seeing an increase in population growth. 1. Georgetown

Georgetown, Kentucky is one of the fastest-growing towns in the state. With its close proximity to Lexington, it is an attractive destination for new residents. The small downtown area has over 200 buildings on the National Register for Historic Places, and you can find a variety of shops and restaurants along the small-town streets. Locals are adamant that Georgetown is the true birthplace of bourbon. Rumor has it that Reverend Elijah Craig distilled the first batch of Kentucky bourbon in 1789 by using water from Georgetown’s Royal Spring. Lastly, Georgetown is home to the largest Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant in the world, which provides ample employment opportunities for the community.
