We’ll kick off this list strong with one of the highest bungee jumps in the United States. Known to locals as “Gorge Bridge,” the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge stands about 650 feet over the river. With the stark beauty of its surrounding desert cliffs, it’s no surprise that the bridge appeared in several Hollywood films over the years. If you’re adventurous enough to try this thrilling bungee jumping spot, expect to shell out a pretty penny. At this time, a jump costs $500 per person.

2. Crooked River Gorge Bridge, Oregon

This nearly 300-foot tall bridge near Bend, Oregon was built in 1926 as part of U.S. Highway 97. Nestled between red sandstone cliffs, it stands an impressive 470 feet over the Colorado River. 4. Royal Gorge Bridge, Colorado

This bridge in southern Colorado is by far the most challenging jump on our list. It’s one of the highest suspension bridges in the world, towering nearly 1,000 feet above the gorge floor. At this time, the Royal Gorge Bridge is so exclusive that it’s closed nearly all year, except for the three-day Go Fast Games festival in September. Daredevils lucky enough to snag a spot can expect a dizzying 15-seconds of free fall.

Waiting at the end of a five-mile hike through the Angeles National Forest, this jump is undoubtedly one of the best and most thrilling bungee jumping spots in the U.S.
