Adorable Seal Pup Gets Hugs, Kisses and Belly Rubs From Its Loving and Affectionate Mother
When we are kids and we get hurt, the first person we go running to is typically our mothers. We go to them so they can kiss our boo boo’s, give us a hug, and make us feel better about us being hurt. The same is said true for at night’s when our mothers would rock us to sleep. They would hold us tight, kiss our foreheads, and sing us to sleep.
Well, just as human mothers care for us, animal mothers care for their young just the same. Many times in life, we will see their softer side. The side where they will hug their young and take care of them. Let’s not miss this amazing love shown by this mother to her young pup in the video posted below.

Seal Sighting in the United Kingdom
The next YouTube video posted at the top of this blog post takes us to the United Kingdom. This video was filmed and shared by the Great Orme Grey Seals. This channel has been open since 2021, after having a passion for the seal pups that had been sighted at the Great Orme, Llandudno, North Wales, UK. They offer a short description of what happens below.
“Grey seal mother showing her baby affection. Since 2017 a seal colony has started using a beach close to where I live. Every year more baby seals are born, and numbers of seals hauled out are growing.”
Mother Seals Love
When we think of the affection that a mother animal might show to her young one might just be the protection of that young one against a predator. However, animals are clearly quite capable of showing great affection.
At the start of this video, we see the mother seal and her young pup lying down on the beach. This mother is showing love to her young pup by kissing him, sharing hugs, and giving him belly rubs. It is clearly the most adorable thing we’ve seen.
How Big are Grey Seals?
Grey seals (Halichoerus grypus) of the family Phocidae are one of the rarest species of seal on Earth! This is why this YouTube page above wanted to ensure that they can capture these beautiful animals while they can.
The grey seal can weigh anywhere from 150-330 kilograms (330-660 pounds.) This is extremely small in comparison to some other seals. The seal (Phoca vitulina) can weigh anywhere from 105-3,000 kilograms (230-6,000 pounds.)
