Six Flags Great Adventure is the place to be for summer thrills, however, when the weather turns cool, the exciting theme park also opens its doors for some fabulous fall fun. Home to three fall fests, including Fright Fest, Kids Boo Fest, and Oktoberfest, there’s something for everyone at Six Flags this autumn.
Fright Fest
Additionally, anyone looking for thrills and chills this fall will love Six Flag’s Fright Frest. Packed with a calendar of spooky activities including a haunted house, scare zones, rides in the dark, horror movie showings, and more, Fright Fest is the perfect place to have a scary good time this fall. Kids Boo Fest

Oktoberfest Food Festival

2. Holland Ridge Farms Fall Flower Festival, Cream Ridge

The Holland Ridge Farms Fall Flower Festival is one of the most scenic and unique autumn events in all of New Jersey. Entering its 6th season, overall the festival includes U-Pick Flowers, food trucks, live music, photos with floral props, a farmers and makers market, and a fun lineup of activities for the entire family. 3. The Autumn Lights Festival, West Milford
The Autumn Lights Festival is one of the largest street fairs in North Jersey. Celebrating its 27th year, this West Milford event is also an annual fall celebration including over 300 vendors, live music, rides, games, food trucks, children’s activities, and more. October 7, 2023
4. Happy Day Farm Fall Festival, Manalapan

Happy Day Farm Fall Festival also has a variety of seasonal activities for the entire family. This year, the fun ‘fest includes a 10th-anniversary corn maze, pumpkin picking, tractor rides, a feeding zoo, pony rides, delicious food, and children’s games, activities, and entertainment. 5. Crystal Springs Resort Music Festival, Hamburg
This fall, scenic Crystal Springs Resort celebrates the season with fall festivities, great food, and amazing entertainment, all in a scenic mountain setting. 6. Maple Leaf Farms Fall Fun Fest & Pumpkin Picking, Manapalan
Maple Leaf Farms Fall Fest has over 20 autumn activities including an observation bridge and photo ops, pumpkin picking, a hay maze, a corn maze, train rides, hay rides, pig races, and more. However, what sets this Manaplan fun fest apart is its entertainment, which includes live country music and bull riding. 7. Linwood Fields Festivals, Monroe Township

Throughout the summer, Linwood Fields (across from Pop’s Farm Market and Garden Center) hosts several fun events for the entire family. 11. The Fall Block Party, Ocean City
Dubbed “Ocean City’s Premier Fall Event,” the beach town’s Fall Block Party is another popular autumn event that draws thousands of visitors every year. Located throughout Ocean City’s downtown area, the festival hosts over 400 crafters, food vendors, and entertainers. In the evening, there will be a fireworks display launched from a barge off the Ocean City Music Pier. The Fall Block Party is a rain-or-shine event. 12. Blairstown Fall Festival & Bed Races, Blairstown
Returning for its third year, the Blairstown Fall Festival is a highly anticipated autumn event in the city’s Footbridge Park. This year, the festival has over 50 vendors and activities that also include a craft beer garden, live music, children’s games and activities, and food trucks. Returning to the Sussex County Fairgrounds for its 12th year, the Harvest, Honey & Garlic Festival is a celebration of New Jersey agriculture, arts, and heritage. Featuring fall-themed displays and glowing gourds both above and below the water, this distinctive fall event also has seasonal sensory tables and interactive displays throughout the aquarium. 20. Mullica Hill Fall Festival Weekend, Mullica Hill

21. Morven Harvest Festival, Princeton

Morven Museum & Garden will welcome autumn with its Harvest Festival, including music and activities for the entire family. Additionally, the concerts feature ensembles and musicians performing a variety of music to celebrate the fall harvest. 22. Von Thun’s Fall Festival Weekends, Monmouth Junction and Washington
With two locations to choose from, there’s always something to do at Von Thun’s Fall Festival Weekends. This year, the festival also has over 20 family-friendly activities including hayrides, apple and pumpkin picking, moonlight corn maze and campfires, a farmer’s market, fresh baked goods, and more. Von Thun’s is famously home to the Reba McEntire Country Music Corn Maze. Some activities (maze, pumpkin and apple picking, farmer’s market) are also available on weekdays. Through October 31, 2023
23. Diggerfest Fall Festival, West Berlin
Throughout October and November, Diggerland hosts its Diggerfest Fall Festival that’s equally packed with autumn-themed activities and events. 24. Grayrock N Roll Fall Festival, Clinton

Hosted by the Grayrock Farm Sanctuary, the Grayrock N Roll Festival is an all-day event with over 50 vendors, animal meet-and-greets, food trucks, and more. No tickets are necessary, although there is a $5 parking fee that goes toward animal care at the sanctuary. October 28, 2023

27. Asbury Park Oktoberfest, Asbury Park
Lastly, every October, the Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten hosts their Oktoberfest celebration. Boasting a large outdoor biergarten and sprawling indoor complex, the annual event is also packed with seasonal food and beverage offerings and is a great way to welcome fall in scenic Asbury Park.
