1. 1201 North Market Street — Wilmington

The tallest building in Delaware is 23 stories high and was built in 1988 in downtown Wilmington. At 360 feet, 1201 North Market Street towers over every other building in the state. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, the building is primarily office space. On clear days, views from the top floor windows span all the way to Philadelphia, 30 miles away. Located on Market Street, the area is bustling with restaurants, offices, and other retail businesses along the Christina River.
2. River Tower at Christina Landing — Wilmington

The second tallest building in Delaware is the River Tower at Christina Landing. At 295 feet and 27 floors, the building offers stunning views of Wilmington’s skyline and Riverfront. The River Tower is a luxurious condominium property and the tallest residential building in the state. The roof of the building features a pool, jacuzzi, and lounge area with stunning views.
The building is located in the historic Riverfront, which was once a busy shipyard. Today, the neighborhood has been transformed from warehouses and factories to a European-style marketplace with restaurants, an art museum, and luxury living.
3. I.M. Pei Building — Wilmington

The I.M. Pei Building, also known as Wilmington Tower, is located at 1105 North Market Street in Wilmington and is the third tallest building in Delaware. Completed in 1971 by Chinese-American architect, I.M. Pei, the high-rise office building was part of a plan to redesign downtown Wilmington in 1963. Pei designed many famous urban buildings around the world. Other notable works by Pei include the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, and the Louvre Pyramid in Paris.
4. Brandywine Building — Wilmington

The fourth tallest building in Delaware is the Brandywine Building located at 1000 West Street in Wilmington. Designed by Vincent Kling & Associates, this 19-story, 260-foot high-rise was originally built for DuPont. Today, however, its main tenant is Citi.
5. Citizen’s Bank Center — Wilmington

Completed in the construction boom of the 1960s, the Citizen’s Bank Center in Wilmington is located at 919 North Market Street. At 18 floors and 253 feet tall, the building is located on Rodney Square in the Central Business District. The street-level facade was updated in the 1990s, but the rest of the building has retained it’s original 1960s design. Originally named the Mellon Bank Center, it’s also adjacent to the historic Hotel DuPont, which has been open since 1913.
6. The Residences at Christina Landing — Wilmington

Located next to the second tallest building on our list, 115 Christina Landing Drive is the sixth tallest building in Delaware. The Residences at Christina Landing are 22 floors and 241 feet high.
