The American woodcock (Scolopax minor) is a funny looking bird with a long bill. This bill is able to reach from in length. This can weigh anywhere from 8-12 ounces, and their bodies are 10-12 inches long.
And if you guessed it, this bird is listed among some of the top nine birds that are known to be the . “It bobs his head and body simultaneously while walking, making it seem like it’s moving to a beat. Because of this, it is nicknamed the funky American woodcock.”
The other birds that are known to be funny are the following: noisy friarbird (Philemon corniculatus), hoatzin (Opisthocomus hoazin), red-rumped bush tyrant (Cnemarchus erythropygius), horned screamer (Anhima cornuta), gray go-away bird (Crinifer concolor), spangled drongo (Dicrurus bracteatus), fluffy-backed tit babbler (Macronus ptilosus), and satanic goatsucker (Eurostopodus diabolicus).
The American woodcock bird is a carnivore. They are known to mainly earthworms. They can also eat things such as snails, millipedes, spiders, snipe flies, and beetles, to name a few.
