Leopard Hunts Wild Hog And Catches a Baby, Then Has To Escape From Enraged Pigs
When we think of predatorial hunts in the wild, we probably assume they always catch large prey such as buffalo or antelopes. However, this is not the case. Sometimes, they are only lucky enough to grab something small. And in this case, it just so happened to be a baby pig.

Leopard Vs. Wild Boar

At the start of this video, we see a wild boar seemingly running for its life just a second into this video. This tells us that clearly something is up. At 11 seconds, we see something in the distance running at incredible speeds through the grass. It is zig-zagging like it is being chased. And chased it is.
A large leopard is directly behind this wild boar. At 25 seconds, we see that this leopard grabs this pig with little to no effort. We notice when the wild boar gets closer that this is, in fact, a baby pig. This makes no difference to the leopard, as this will make a nice snack for him.
However, the leopard could even try to enjoy this catch. We see that the other wild boars running around like crazy are now angry. They all quickly change their direction, and instead of running now, they are chasing this leopard who has a baby. They chase this leopard, and he leaps up into a tree to get away from them.
Is a Wild Pig a Wild Boar?
These two names often get used interchangeably. And rightly so. The wild pig and wild boar have the same scientific name if you look them up (Sus scrofa). Their common names wild pig, wild boar, and feral pig are what we know them by.
According to the Smithsonian Magazine, “All are interchangeably called wild or feral hogs, pigs or boars; in this context, “boar” can refer to a male or female. (Technically, “feral” refers to animals that can be traced back to escaped domestic pigs, while the more all-encompassing “wild” refers to any non-domestic animals.)”
