1. Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport

Not only is the Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport the largest airport in New South Wales, it’s the busiest. It’s also the oldest continually operating commercial airport in the entire world. Over 60 different airlines fly in and out of its three terminals and runways each day for domestic, international, regional, and freight flights.
In August of 2023, the Sydney Airport had 26,452 flights to and from 28 different countries. There were 66 different airlines taking 250 routes, with Qantas Airline having the most routes with 61 different ones. Almost half of all flights in and out of Sydney were international. As a result of its multitude of airlines and flights, over 48.1 million passengers fly in and out of this airport annually.
Already a bustling place, Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport, sometimes called Mascot Airport, houses several conference rooms complete with projectors, flipcharts, whiteboards, and all other necessary technology. There are also souvenir shops, restaurants, a bank, pubs, and cafes to add to the hustle and bustle of airport traffic.
2. Newcastle Airport

The second busiest airport in New South Wales is Newcastle which began operating in 1935 with its first flight between Croydon and Perth. Today, Newcastle Airport has about 1.5 million passengers every year. The airport has one runway, and it’s serviced by over 15 airlines.
Within the airport, there is a lounge for any airline passenger to get comfortable during layovers. There are several places to grab a quick bite or a coffee drink. In addition, there are eight little shopping outlets for travelers to buy things or simply browse.
