行百里者半九十，“荷花定律”美在坚持！
在这个百里半九十的时刻，
想起老爸曾分享给我一个道理，
叫做“荷花定律”。
Today, 90 percent of the goal is achieved.
At this moment, I remembered a principle my dad shared with me,
which is called the Lotus Law.
在一个荷花池中，
第一天，荷花只开很少一部分，
第二天，开放的数量是第一天的两倍，
之后的每一天，荷花都会以前一天两倍的数量开放……
In a lotus pond,
On the first day, only a few lotuses opened,
The next day, there were twice as many lotuses as the first day,
Every day after that, the lotus blooms twice as many as the day before...
假设，到第30天荷花就开满整个池塘，
那么，在第几天池塘中的荷花开了一半？
第15天？
不，第29天！
这就是“荷花定律”，也叫30天定律。
Let’s suppose, the pond would be full of lotus flowers at the day 30,
then on which day would we have half of the pond be with lotuses?
Day 15?
No, day 29!
This is called the "Lotus Law," also known as the 30-day law.
“行百里者半九十”，
百里路，走到九十里，才算是一半。
道理与“荷花定律”异曲同工。
If a person whose target is a hundred miles, when he got ninety miles done,
it means that he has only finished the half way.
The principle is the same as the "lotus law".
很多时候，
我们渴望改变，希望更好，
只是没有勇气跳出“舒适圈”，
没有骨气越过“最后一公里”。
马拉松的起点，总是乌泱泱的，
但终点，并不拥挤。
Most of the time,
We want change and want to be better,
But we just don't have the courage to step out of the comfort zone,
Neither have the backbone to cross that "last mile" .
The starting point of a marathon is always a huge crowd,
But the finish line is not crowded.
有一种坚持，是善始善终；
有一种幸福，是静待绽放；
有一种期许，是荷花满塘。
There is a kind of insistence called start well and end well;
There is a kind of happiness while waiting for blooming peacefully;
There is a kind hope as beautiful as a pond full of lotuses.
