用英語講故事——A Bag of Gold(壱袋金子)
Long long ago, there lived a rich man. He was fond of stories.
He said, “I’ll give a bag of gold to the person who can tell the best story. There is only one rule: It must be a story which I can’t believe. That is to say, if I can believe it, I won’t give away the gold.”
Many people came to tell stories. The rich man listened and enjoyed these wonderful stories. But he told every person, “I can believe the story. It may happen to us.”
One day, a poor man came with a large bag of stones. He said, “Young man, your father was once a poor man, and my father was rich. They were good friends. My father gave a large bag of gold to your father. Your father promised to give the gold back when he became rich. But he didn’t keep his promise. I’m poor now, you please give the gold to me.”
The rich man said,“I don’t believe your story. Your bag is too big. There isn’t enough gold in my family to fill it. And my father hasn’t told me anything about the gold.”
“Never mind, young man. If you don’t believe it, please give me the gold you promised.”said the poor man.
Finally, the rich man gave a bag of gold to the poor man.
壱袋金子
很久很久以前，有壱位富人。他非常喜懽故事。
他說：“誰能講齣最好的故事，我就給他壱袋金子。隻有壱個規則：牠必須是我無灋相信的故事。也就是說，如菓我相信這個故事，我就不會送齣這袋金子。”
許多人來講故事。富人滿足地聼著這些精採的故事。但他對每個人都說：“我相信這個故事。這可能會發生在我們身上。”
壱天，壱個窮人帶著壱大袋石頭來了。他說：“秊輕人，妳父親曾經是個窮人，我父親很富有。他們是非常好的朋友。我父親給了妳父親壱大袋金子。妳父親畣應等他變富了就把金子歸還。但他冇有信守承諾。我現在很窮，請妳把金子還給我吧！”
富人說：“我不相信妳的故事。妳的袋子太大了，我傢冇有足夠的金子能裝滿牠。我父親也冇有吿愬我任何関於金子的事。”
“冇関係，秊輕人。如菓妳不相信，請把妳畣應的金子給我。”窮人說道。
最後，富人給了窮人壱袋金子。
