Long long ago, the earth was ravaged by a terrible flood. The flood was like a fierce beast, roaring and surging, destroying houses and fields. People fled in all directions and lived in endless fear.

Gun adopted the method of containment and continuously built dams to try to block the flood. However, the flood was too powerful. The dams were washed away again and again. After nine years, the flood still had not been controlled.

Shun began to look for a new person to control the flood. Everyone recommended Yu, Gun's son. Yu deeply knew the arduousness of the task of controlling the flood, but he did not flinch and bravely took on this heavy responsibility.

Yu decided to lead everyone to cut through the mountain and open up a waterway. This was an extremely arduous task, but Yu and the people did not give up. They used simple tools to dig the mountain bit by bit. After countless days and nights of efforts, they finally successfully opened up a waterway and let the flood flow smoothly.

So Yu just took a distant look at his home and then turned around and threw himself back into the work of controlling the flood.
