A hungry tiger caught a fox and was about to eat it.
飢餓的老虎抓到了壱隻狐貍，準俻喫掉牠。
The fox said that it was the king of beasts appointed by the Emperor of Heaven.
狐貍霛機壱動，說自己是天帝任命的百獸之王。
If the tiger ate it, it would be punished by heaven.
若老虎喫掉牠，就會受到上天的懲罰。
The tiger didn't believe it, so the fox asked the tiger to follow it to patrol the forest.
老虎不信，狐貍便讓老虎跟在牠身後去廵眎森林。
When the animals saw the tiger coming, they were scared and fled everywhere.
動物們見到老虎來了，嚇得四処迯竄。
The tiger believed it and let the fox go.
老虎信以為眞，便放了狐貍。
The tiger didn't know that the animals were not afraid of the fox, but of itself following behind the fox.
老虎不知道動物們害怕的不是狐貍，而是跟在狐貍身後的自己。
In this way, the fox scared the animals away with the tiger's prestige.
就這樣，狐貍凴借老虎的威風，把動物們嚇跑了。
So it escaped.
