Watch the Tense Encounter When a Huge Pack of Wild Dogs Surround a Deer

In the wild, one can never assume there is just one predator around. We can’t tell you how many videos we have seen of an animal like an antelope escaping the jaws of a lion only to be quickly dragged under the water by a crocodile.

In this video right below, what starts out just as one or two wild dogs quickly becomes a whole pack of them. While this deer might have assumed it might be able to outrun this wild dog, he quickly realized he was in big trouble. Watch what happens!

Wild Dogs and Deer Sighting

The next YouTube video shown at the top of this blog post takes us to the forest, where we are able to capture the sight of wild dogs surrounding a deer. This video was filmed and shared by the Wildlife with Irfan YouTube page. This channel sends out videos twice a week. He shares his passion for what he does below and what kind of animals he captures on camera.

Wild Dogs Vs. Deer

At the start of this video, we see a few wild dogs that are running as if there is something for them to catch. It’s not long before we see several more wild dogs join in on this run. As the camera pans over, we are able to see what they are after. This great big deer is trying its best to get away. But, everywhere that it turns, it is greeted by yet another wild dog.

They are all smartly working together. As we can see, these wild dogs are very small in comparison to this deer. They know that they are no match for the size of this deer one-on-one. However, as a pack, they stand a very good chance.

How Many Types of Wild Dogs Are There?

Perhaps when you hear the term wild do, your mind goes to the African wild dog. After all, a lot of the videos we see that come from Africa are about the African wild dog. However, it might surprise you to learn that there are about 35 different species of wild dogs.

Our top ten wild dogs are the following: Busch dog, dingo, maned wolf, red wolf, grey wolf, arctic fox, red fox, jackal, coyote, and, of course, the African wild dog.

The African wild dog would by far be one of the most dangerous wild dogs out there.
