Watch the King of the Jungle Hold Up Safari Traffic and Give Zero Cares
The king of the jungle is called that for so many reasons. We often think of it in terms of their ability to fight. However, it’s so much more than that. Watch the many videos there are of lions in the wild and see just how much respect other animals have for them. Many times, lions don’t even need to fight. This is because other animals have the respect to know to stay away from them and let them have their much-needed space.
We see this happening but with humans. We, as humans, need to remember the power that a lion has against us. We especially need to respect their territory. These fleets of vehicles on this safari tour, shown in the video posted below, were wise to give this lion the space he needed on this road.

King of the Jungle Sighting in Africa
The next YouTube video posted at the top of this blog post takes us to the Kruger National Park located in Southern Africa. This large game reserve is home to various famous African animals, such as the lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, buffalo, and hyena, to name a few. The Mapogo Lions YouTube page posted this video just today, and it’s already received more than 2,000 views!
Lion Vs. Traffic
At the start of this video, we see that there is safari traffic going through the Kruger National Park. This is most likely a self-tour. If you didn’t know you could go on your own tour in Africa, guess what, you can!
In front of this traffic, we see a massive male lion that is walking. He gives zero…cares. He knows exactly what he is doing; however, he honestly doesn’t care. This is his land, his territory, and his road. These tourists are just guests in his home. And they can drive slowly and wait for him.
Why Is a Lion So Special?
When we think of the king of the jungle, we think that they are special for their beauty and strength in fighting. And while this is true, it goes so much deeper than that. The lion is “a symbol of strength, power and ferocity.” It’s difficult to describe the majesty these animals possess unless you see them in person. And while videos are great, we highly recommend that you see one in person!
You can do this in numerous ways by visiting your local zoo or our preferred recommendation of going on a safari tour. Some of our best tour recommendations in Africa take place in the Maasai Mara, or Masa Mara, and also in the Kruger National Park, as seen in the video above.
