Expect to.
We regard expectation as the horizontal line that guides us forward, pointing us in the direction of progress and providing us with the motivation to move ahead. When faced with negative energy from people or situations, expectations seem to become blurred, and some people even put their expectations in the negative, believing that the more they expect, the greater the disappointment will be. But in my opinion, true expectations are not the root cause of disappointment, but rather how we face and interpret these expectations.
We must be clear that expectation is not the obsessive pursuit of a specific outcome, but rather the acceptance and appreciation of the diversity of life. When we are full of expectations for a person or an event, we are actually injecting our own emotions and hopes into that expectation.
Life inevitably has disappointments and setbacks. If we have enough expectations for people and things, then even if one of them falls short, we will not feel desperate. Because there is always another expectation waiting for us, perhaps just around the corner, waiting for us to discover and cherish.
Life is limited, and we cannot predict the future, but we can choose how to spend each day. Rather than sinking into negative energy, we should embrace expectations and let every day be filled with sunshine. Let us use our expectations to warm every morning and evening.
