The care law that affects a person's life

Time:July 25, 2024

The more you care about something, the easier it is to lose it; the more you crave for it, the more likely you are to fail. Because of being overly concerned, you can't let go; because of excessive longing, you panic. Excessive fixation on a single goal often backfires, whereas letting go at the right time can bring unexpected delights. Many difficulties in life stem from the grains of sand we cling to tightly in our hands—the harder we try to hold on, the faster they slip away.

True wise individuals never regret what they have lost, but instead celebrate what they once possessed. When we overvalue something or someone, that heavy emotion turns into a shackle for our minds, constraining our thoughts and actions. We fear losing, so we become cautious and even timid, ultimately missing opportunities due to excessive tension. This anxiety and unease stemming from excessive desire cause much suffering for many.

Letting go is not about abandoning pursuits or adopting a passive, do-nothing attitude. It is a trust in one's own abilities, an acceptance that everything happens for the best.

All things in the world follow their cause-and-effect cycles, and profound philosophies lie within the interplay of gain and loss. When we learn to face the changes of life with an ordinary mind, we can more calmly confront challenges and savor each moment. We accept gains with composure, knowing each reward is a testament to our efforts; we embrace losses with equanimity, understanding that every loss is an opportunity for growth. We go with the flow, feel at peace wherever we are, and find solace for our souls in freedom and tranquility.

Once we truly release our obsessions and desires, we discover that the world is far broader than we ever imagined. Our tense nerves relax, fear and anxiety dissipate, replaced by an unprecedented sense of ease and freedom. "Wise people never sit lamenting over failures; they actively seek solutions with optimism." After letting go, we gain clearer vision and firmer steps, boldly stepping into the future, cherishing each day as it comes.
