Yugong Moves Mountains
A long, long time ago, there was a place called Beishan. There lived an old man there. People called him Yugong.
There were two tall mountains in front of Yugong's home, one was called Taihang Mountain and the other was called Wangwu Mountain.
These two mountains blocked the way to the outside world for Yugong's family and the villagers, making travel very inconvenient.
Yugong looked at the two big mountains in front of him and felt very sad.
One day, Yugong called a meeting with his family and said, "I want to work with everyone to move these two mountains and open a road to the outside world. What do you think?"
Yugong's family members all thought it was a good idea and expressed their support.
The news of Yugong's plan soon spread throughout the village. When his neighbor Zhisou heard about it, he laughed and said to Yugong, "You are really old and confused. How can you move mountains at such an old age?"
After hearing this, Yugong calmly replied: "Although I am old, I have sons, and my sons have grandsons. My descendants are endless, and one day I will be able to flatten the mountain."
Ignoring others' ridicule, Yugong took his family to dig soil and transport stones every day, starting the arduous project of moving mountains.
Their efforts gradually moved the villagers, and more and more people joined the ranks of moving the mountains.
The Jade Emperor in heaven learned about Yugong's move of the mountains and was moved by his perseverance and determination, so he sent two powerful gods to help him.

From then on, there were no longer mountains blocking Yugong’s hometown, the villagers could freely access the outside world, and everyone lived a more convenient and better life.
