Once upon a time there was a shoemaker whose craftsmanship was impeccable, but his life became more and more difficult.
One day, he was left with only a piece of leather and could no longer produce shoes.
The shoemaker cuts the leather just enough to make a pair of shoes.
Then he would pray at night, sleep peacefully, and get up the next day to make shoes.
The next morning, when the shoemaker got up, he found a pair of perfect shoes on his workbench. He was very surprised and confused.
After careful inspection, it was confirmed that this was indeed his handiwork, but it was unknown who helped him complete it.
Just then a customer came in, saw the shoes and liked them very much, so he paid a high price and bought them.
This money gave the shoemaker enough capital to buy four pairs of leathers.
From that day on, whenever he finished cutting the leather, the shoes would be completed on time the next morning.
The business prospered and the shoemaker became rich.
They saw two little naked people enter the studio, sit down and start making shoes.
Their movements were deft and every step was precise.
The shoemaker and his wife watched in amazement until the two little men finished their work, packed up their things and hurried away.
The next morning, the wife suggested making some clothes and shoes for the two little people as a thank you.
The shoemaker agreed to the suggestion, so they worked all night, made the gift and placed it on the workbench, leaving no leather behind.
At midnight, the two little men ran in happily, ready to start work.
They found no leather on the workbench, but were delighted to see fine clothes and shoes.
They put on their new clothes eagerly and left the room singing:
"Why be a shoemaker when you can dress nicely and elegantly?"
From that day on, the two little men never appeared again, and the shoemaker lived in happiness and prosperity.
