用英语讲寓言小故事——The Crow and the Fox 乌鸦和狐狸
In a beautiful forest, a clever crow found a piece of meat.
It flew to a tall tree with the meat in its mouth, ready to enjoy the delicious meal.
Just then, a cunning fox saw the crow and the meat in its mouth.
The fox also wanted to eat the meat very much, so he walked under the tree and thought of a bad idea.
The fox said to the crow, "Dear Miss Crow, your feathers are so beautiful! I heard that you have a very beautiful singing voice, too. Can you sing a song for me?"
The crow was very happy when he heard this, and wanted to show off his singing skills to the fox.
So the crow opened its beak and was about to sing when the meat fell to the ground.
The fox quickly picked up the meat and said with a smile, "Thank you for the fat meat, Miss Crow. Remember, don't believe those flattering words."
The crow regretted it very much, but it was too late.
It understands an important truth: don't lose your own judgment because of other people's good words.
