用英语讲寓言小故事——Kitten fishing 小猫钓鱼

Time：August 11, 2024

从前，有一只小猫，它叫咪咪。

Once upon a time, there was a kitten named Mimi.

一天，咪咪和妈妈一起去河边钓鱼。

One day, Mimi and her mother went fishing by the river.

妈妈告诉咪咪：“要专心钓鱼，才能钓到大鱼。”

Mom told Mimi: "You have to concentrate on fishing to catch big fish."

咪咪一开始很认真地钓鱼，可是钓了一会儿，它觉得无聊了，看到河边有蝴蝶飞来飞去，就想去追蝴蝶。

Mimi fished very seriously at the beginning, but after a while, it felt bored. It saw butterflies flying around by the river and wanted to chase them.

正好有一个蝴蝶落在了它的鱼竿上，然后咪咪仍下鱼竿，就去追蝴蝶了。

Just then a butterfly landed on its fishing rod, and Mimi put down the fishing rod and went chasing the butterfly.

妈妈提醒它：“咪咪，专心钓鱼呀。”可是咪咪没听。

Mother reminded it: "Mimi, concentrate on fishing." But Mimi didn't listen.

追了一会儿蝴蝶，咪咪回来继续钓鱼，就看到妈妈已经钓到了一条大鱼。

After chasing butterflies for a while, Mimi came back to continue fishing, and saw that her mother had caught a big fish.

咪咪拿起鱼竿继续钓鱼。

Mimi picked up the fishing rod and continued fishing.

没一会，一只蜻蜓飞过来，又落在了咪咪的鱼竿上。

After a while, a dragonfly flew over and landed on Mimi's fishing rod again.

然后咪咪仍了鱼竿直接去追蜻蜓了。

Then Mimi threw away the fishing rod and went straight to chase the dragonfly.

妈妈再次提醒它：“咪咪，要专心钓鱼呀。”可是咪咪还是没听。

Mother reminded it again: "Mimi, concentrate on fishing." But Mimi still didn't listen.

过了一会儿，妈妈又钓上来一条大鱼，而咪咪一条鱼也没钓到。

After a while, Mom caught another big fish, but Mimi didn't catch any fish.

咪咪很沮丧地对妈妈说：“妈妈，为什么我钓不到鱼呢？”

Mimi said to her mother in frustration: "Mom, why can't I catch any fish?"

妈妈笑着说：“咪咪，你知道为什么吗？因为你不专心。钓鱼的时候，你去追蝴蝶，又去捉蜻蜓，怎么能钓到鱼呢？如果你能一直专心钓鱼，就能像妈妈一样钓到大鱼了。”

Mom smiled and said, "Mimi, do you know why? Because you are not concentrating. When you are fishing, you chase butterflies and catch dragonflies. How can you catch fish? If you can concentrate on fishing, you can catch big fish like mom."

咪咪听了妈妈的话，点点头，决定下次一定要专心钓鱼。

After listening to her mother, Mimi nodded and decided to concentrate on fishing next time.
