用英语讲寓言小故事——Little Gecko Borrows Its Tail 小壁虎借尾巴
In a beautiful forest, there was a cute little gecko.
One day, when the little gecko was playing, he was caught by a snake.
The big snake bit its tail, and then it struggled hard to break free, but the snake bit off its tail.
When the little gecko saw that its tail was gone, it felt very sad. It looked so ugly without a tail.
So the little gecko decided to borrow a tail.
The little gecko first came to the frog and asked the frog: "Brother Frog, my tail fell off. Can you lend me a tail?"
The frog shook his head and said, "I'm sorry, little gecko, my tail has turned into two legs and I can't lend it to you."
The little gecko ran to the little fish again and asked the little fish: "Little fish sister, my tail fell off, can you lend me a tail?"
The little fish shook his head and said, "I'm sorry, little gecko, my tail is for swimming, so I can't lend it to you."
The little gecko continued walking and saw a little squirrel.
The little gecko asked, "Sister squirrel, my tail fell off. Can you lend me a tail?"
The little squirrel also shook his head and said, "I'm sorry, little gecko, my tail is used to keep balance, so I can't lend it to you."
The little gecko was very disappointed and walked slowly back home.
When it returned home, it suddenly found that it had grown a new tail!
The little gecko was very happy and understood a truth: some things require patience and waiting, and as long as you persist, the problem will be solved.
