从前，有一个商人雇了一头驴子，商人需要去一个遥远的城市卖货物。
Once upon a time, a merchant hired a donkey. The merchant needed to go to a distant city to sell goods.
这天他们一起走在炎热的沙漠中。太阳很晒，沙漠中没有树木，只有他们和无尽的沙子。
One day, they walked together in the hot desert. The sun was very hot, and there were no trees in the desert. There were only them and endless sand.
走了很长时间后，他们都非常累。然后决定休息一下，但是沙漠中没有可以遮阳的地方。
After walking for a long time, they were very tired. Then they decided to take a rest, but there was no place to get shade in the desert.
于是，商人想到一个办法，坐在驴子的影子里，因为驴子的影子可以遮住一些太阳。
So the merchant thought of a way to sit in the donkey's shadow, because the donkey's shadow could block some of the sun.
但是驴子的影子只能遮蔽一个人。

于是商人和驴子的主人为了遮蔽阴凉激烈的争吵起来，他们都认为只有自己有这个权利。

驴子的主人坚持说它只出租驴子本身，不出租驴子的影子。
The donkey's owner insisted that he only rented out the donkey itself, not its shadow.
而商人说他雇的驴子包括驴子本身和影子。

因此他们争论不休，还互相打了起来。
So they argued and fought with each other.
就在他们打架时，驴子趁机逃跑了。While they were fighting, the donkey took the opportunity to escape.
