The Tortoise and the Hare
一天，乌龟和兔子在森林中相遇。
One day, the tortoise and the rabbit met in the forest.
兔子看到乌龟爬的很慢，就说乌龟：“我们来赛跑吧！”
The rabbit saw that the tortoise was crawling very slowly, so he said to the tortoise: "Let's have a race!"
乌龟知道自己爬的慢，不想和兔子赛跑，就拒绝了它。
The tortoise knew that he crawled slowly and didn't want to race with the rabbit, so he rejected it.
然后兔子就开始嘲笑乌龟，说乌龟肯定跑不过自己。
Then the rabbit started to laugh at the tortoise, saying that the tortoise would never be able to outrun him.
最后，乌龟还是决定和兔子比赛跑步。
Finally, the tortoise decided to have a running race with the rabbit.
兔子认为自己跑得很快，还嘲笑乌龟说：“你怎么可能赢得了我？”
The rabbit thought he was very fast and laughed at the turtle, saying, "How can you possibly beat me?"
乌龟就说：“我一定会赢的！”
The turtle said, "I will definitely win!"
然后它们约定谁先爬到前面山上的一颗大树下，就算赢。
Then they agreed that whoever climbed to a big tree on the mountain in front first would be the winner.
比赛开始后，兔子跑得飞快，很快就把乌龟远远甩在后面。
After the race started, the rabbit ran very fast and soon left the tortoise far behind.
兔子觉得自己肯定会赢，可以在路边休息一会。
The rabbit felt that he would definitely win and could take a rest on the side of the road.
于是兔子就坐在路边，慢慢的睡着了。
So the rabbit sat on the side of the road and slowly fell asleep.
乌龟一步一步慢慢地走着，没有停下来。
The tortoise walked slowly, step by step, without stopping.
它爬到兔子睡觉的地方，已经很累了，如果它也像兔子一样休息，它肯定就赢不了了。
It crawled to where the rabbit was sleeping and was very tired. If it rested like the rabbit, it would definitely not win.
所以它继续爬呀爬呀。他最终超过了还在睡觉的兔子，先到了大树下面，赢得了比赛。
So it continued to crawl. He eventually surpassed the sleeping rabbit, got under the tree first, and won the race.
当兔子醒来时，他发现乌龟已经到达了终点线，赢得了比赛。兔子非常后悔自己太骄傲和懒惰。
When the rabbit woke up, he found that the tortoise had reached the finish line and won the race. The rabbit regretted his pride and laziness.
