英语绘本 ▏每日一读之《西游记—流沙河收沙僧 Conquer Sandy In Flowing Sand River》
时间过得飞快，转眼间到了秋天。
Time passed quickly, and in the blink of an eye it was autumn.
师徒三人来到了一条宽阔的大河边，岸边立着一块石碑，上面写着流沙河，却看不见一条船。
The three masters and disciples came to a wide river. There was a stone tablet on the bank with the words "Flowing Sand River" written on it, but no boat was seen.
师徒三人正在着急时，河水突然浪花翻滚，从河中嗖的一下钻出来一个妖怪样子十分难看。
When the three masters and disciples were anxious, the river suddenly rolled with waves, and a monster suddenly emerged from the river, looking very ugly.
妖怪上岸后，直奔唐僧而来，悟空急忙抱起师父转身就跑。八戒举起九齿钉耙挡住妖怪。
After the monster came ashore, it ran straight to Tang Priest. Wukong hurriedly picked up his master and turned around to run. Pigsy raised the nine-toothed rake to block the monster.
八戒半天也没把妖怪降服，这可急坏了一旁的悟空。
Pigsy didn't subdue the monster for a long time, which made Wukong anxious.
他挥起金箍棒，朝着妖怪的头就打，妖怪一闪，躲开了，然后转身钻回了河里。
He waved the Gold-Banded Staff and hit the monster's head. The monster dodged and turned back to the river.
二人回到师傅身边商量对策，悟空说：“八戒，你水性好，你先去把他引出来，然后我来打。”
The two returned to the master and discussed countermeasures. Wukong said: "pigsy, you you're good at swimming, you go and lure him out first, and then I will fight."
“好办法！”八戒说着，脱掉鞋袜和衣裳，跳进了河里。妖怪举起宝杖迎了过来，二人从水里打到水面上。
"Good idea!" Bajie said, took off his shoes, socks and clothes, and jumped into the river. The monster raised his magic staff and came over, and the two fought from the water to the surface.
八戒假装打不过往岸上跑去，妖怪想也没想就追了上来，眼看妖怪就要到岸边了，悟空等不及，举起金箍棒就冲了过去。
Pigsy pretended that he couldn't beat him and ran to the shore. The monster chased him without thinking. Seeing that the monster was about to reach the shore, Wukong couldn't wait and rushed over with his golden hoop.
妖怪一见悟空来了也不敢追八戒了，转身又逃回了河里。
When the monster saw Wukong coming, he didn't dare to chase pigsy anymore, and turned around and fled back to the river.
八戒生气地说：“你这个急猴子！”悟空不好意思地笑了，拉着他回到师傅身边。
Pigsy said angrily: "You impatient monkey!" Wukong smiled embarrassedly and pulled him back to his master.
晚上悟空去找了些斋饭，师徒三人吃完就休息了。
In the evening, Wukong went to find some vegetarian food, and the three masters and disciples rested after eating.
第二天早上。八戒再去引妖怪上岸，但这次妖怪不上当了，没有追着八戒上岸。
The next morning. Pigsy went to lure the monster ashore again, but this time the monster was not fooled and did not chase Pigsy ashore.
八戒累坏了，悟空则急地抓耳挠腮的。
Bajie was exhausted, and Wukong was scratching his head anxiously.
忽然悟空想出了一个主意，他对八戒说：“你照顾好师父，我去南海请观音菩萨帮忙。”
Suddenly Wukong came up with an idea, and said to Bajie: "Take good care of our master, I will go to the South China Sea to ask Guanyin Bodhisattva for help."
悟空来到南海，对观音菩萨说明了情况。
Wukong came to the South China Sea and explained the situation to Guanyin Bodhisattva.
原来这妖怪是经菩萨点化，在流沙河等待唐僧，好保护他去西天取经的。
It turns out that this monster was enlightened by the Bodhisattva and was waiting for Tang Priest in the Flowing Sand River to protect him on his journey to the West to obtain the scriptures.
菩萨交给惠岸一个红葫芦，命他去收服妖怪。
The Bodhisattva gave Hui'an a red gourd and ordered him to subdue the monster.
惠岸跟着悟空来到流沙河，他大声叫道：“悟净，取经人来了，还不快归顺！”
Hui'an followed Wukong to the Flowing Sand River and shouted, "Wujing, the pilgrim is here, why don't you surrender quickly!"
妖怪急忙钻出水面，看见是惠岸，他纳闷的问：“哪个是取经人？”惠岸指指唐僧。
The monster quickly emerged from the water and saw that it was Hui'an. He asked in confusion, "Who is the pilgrim?" Hui'an pointed at Tang Priest.
妖怪说：“他们不知是哪里来的怪物，非常厉害，我不去！”惠岸笑着说：“这是孙悟空，那是猪八戒，都是唐僧的徒弟。”
The monster said, "I don't know where they came from, they are very powerful, I won't go!" Hui'an smiled and said, "This is Sun Wukong, that is Pigsy, they are all Tang Priest's disciples."
妖怪这才跳到岸上，他整理了一下衣服，来到唐僧面前双膝跪地，说：“弟子沙悟净拜见师父。”
The monster then jumped onto the shore, straightened his clothes, knelt on his knees in front of Tang Priest, and said, "Disciple Sha Wujing greets my master."
唐僧急忙将他扶起，然后给他剃去头发，唐僧说：“看你行礼是和尚的做派，以后你就叫沙僧吧。”
Tang Priest hurriedly helped him up, and then shaved his hair. Tang Priest said, "You are bowing like a monk, so you will be called Sandy from now on."
惠岸将红葫芦和悟净脖子上的九个骷髅穿在一起，变出了一条船。
Hui'an put the red gourd and the nine skulls on Wujing's neck together to create a boat.
悟净和八戒扶着唐僧上了船，悟空牵着马跟在后面，不一会儿他们就到了对岸。
Wujing and Pigsy helped Tang Priest get on the boat, and Wukong followed behind with a horse. Soon they reached the other side.
惠岸收回红葫芦，那九个骷髅变成了九颗珠子，悟净又把它们挂在了脖子上。
Hui'an took back the red gourd, and the nine skulls turned into nine beads, which Wujing hung around his neck again.
唐僧拜谢过惠岸，带着徒弟们踏上了取经之路。
Tang Priest thanked Hui'an and set out on the journey to obtain scriptures with his disciples.
