英语绘本 ▏每日一读之《西游记—猪八戒拜师Pigsy Becomes A Disciple》
一天傍晚，悟空和师父来到一个村庄前。
One evening, Wukong and his master came to a village.
师父对悟空说道：“悟空我们去找户人家借宿一晚，明天再赶路吧。”
The master said to Wukong: "Wukong, let's go find a family to stay for one night and continue our journey tomorrow."
这时一个背着包袱的人急匆匆的走了过来，悟空一把抓住他问道：“这里是哪儿，你要去干什么？”
At this time, a man with a bag on his back hurried over. Wukong grabbed him and asked: "Where is this place? What are you going to do?"
那人左扭右扭也没挣脱开，只好无奈地回答：“这里是高老庄，我奉我家老爷之命去请人来捉妖怪。”
The man twisted and turned but couldn't get away, so he had to answer helplessly: "This is Gao Laozhuang. I am following my master's order to ask someone to catch monsters."
悟空一听笑了，说道：“用不着出去请了，我刚好会捉妖。”
When Wukong heard this, he laughed and said: "No need to go out and ask, I just happen to catch monsters."
那人领着唐僧和悟空找到了高老爷，说：“他们是来捉妖的。”
The man led Tang Priest and Wukong to find Master Gao and said: "They are here to catch monsters."
一看见悟空高老爷吓得都不会说话了。他小心地将师徒二人请到了屋里。
When Master Gao saw Wukong, he was so scared that he couldn't speak. He carefully invited the master and apprentice into the house.
原来高老爷有个漂亮的女儿，叫翠兰。妖怪非要娶她做媳妇儿，还把她锁在了房里。
It turned out that Master Gao had a beautiful daughter named Cuilan. The monster insisted on marrying her as his wife and locked her in the room.
悟空听完说：“这不难，今晚我就去抓他，让他写个退亲文书。”高老爷十分高兴。
After hearing this, Wukong said, "It's not difficult. I'll catch him tonight and ask him to write a document to cancel the engagement." Master Gao was very happy.
高老爷领着悟空来到后院，只见房门上挂着一把铜锁，悟空用金箍棒把锁打坏了。
Master Gao led Wukong to the backyard, and saw a copper lock hanging on the door. Wukong broke the lock with his golden hoop.
屋里黑漆漆的，高老爷大着胆子喊了一声女儿。翠兰听到父亲的声音走了出来。父女俩抱头痛哭。
The room was dark, and Master Gao boldly called his daughter. Cuilan came out after hearing her father's voice. The father and daughter hugged each other and cried bitterly.
悟空让高老爷赶紧带着翠兰离开，自己则变成翠兰的样子坐在床上等妖怪来。
Wukong asked Master Gao to take Cuilan away quickly, and he turned into Cuilan and sat on the bed waiting for the monster to come.
不一会儿，刮起一阵狂风，妖怪来了。妖怪直奔着悟空走过去，一把抱住了他。
After a while, a gust of wind blew, and the monster came. The monster ran straight to Wukong and hugged him.
悟空一使劲，把妖怪摔到了地上。妖怪不明白是怎么回事。
Wukong threw the monster to the ground with force. The monster didn't understand what was going on.
刚要问，就听到悟空说道：“哎，和你做了这么久的夫妻我都还不知道你叫什么名字呢？”
Just as he was about to ask, he heard Wukong say, "Hey, I've been married to you for so long, but I still don't know your name?"
妖怪从地上爬起来，一屁股坐在凳子上，说：“我以相貌为姓，姓猪 叫猪刚鬣（liè）。”
The monster got up from the ground, sat on the stool, and said, "I use my appearance as my surname, my surname is Zhu, and my name is Zhu Ganglie."
悟空听了心里暗暗高兴，“我爹要请法师来捉你呢！”
Wukong was secretly happy when he heard this, "My father is going to ask a magician to catch you!"
妖怪回答说：“不怕不怕，不是那个弼马温就行。”
The monster replied, "Don't be afraid, just don't be the Stable Minister."
听完妖怪的话，悟空说道：“哈哈，你看看我是谁？”
After hearing the monster's words, Wukong said, "Haha, look who I am?"
妖怪一看，正是自己最害怕的人，转身就想跑。却被悟空抓住了衣服。他使劲一挣，挣破了衣服，化作一阵风逃跑了。
The monster saw that it was the person he was most afraid of, so he turned around and wanted to run. But Wukong grabbed his clothes. He struggled hard, tore his clothes, and ran away as a gust of wind.
悟空一直追到山洞前，用金箍棒打洞门，将两扇门打得粉碎。
Wukong chased him all the way to the front of the cave, hit the cave door with his golden hoop, and smashed the two doors to pieces.
妖怪气急了，举起自己的九齿钉耙就打悟空，“你不好好待在你的花果山，来欺负我干什么？”
The monster was furious and raised his nine-tooth iron rake to hit Wukong, "Why don't you stay in your Flower-Fruit Mountain and come to bully me?"
俺老孙皈依佛门了，现在正在保护着唐三藏去西天取经呢！
I, Sun, have converted to Buddhism and am now protecting Tang Priest on his way to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures!
悟空刚说完，妖怪就扔下他的九齿钉耙说：“唐三藏在哪？我要见他！菩萨让我在这里等着他。”
As soon as Wukong finished speaking, the monster threw down his nine-tooth iron rake and said, "Where is Tang Priest? I want to see him! The Bodhisattva asked me to wait for him here."
悟空变出一根绳子，将妖怪捆上，带到了师父面前。妖怪看见让三藏急忙跪下，将菩萨的话说了一遍。
Wukong conjured up a rope, tied up the monster, and brought him to his master. The monster saw Sanzang and knelt down hurriedly, repeating the words of the Bodhisattva.
唐僧非常高兴，说道：“以后你就叫八戒吧！”
Tang Priest was very happy and said, "From now on, you will be called pigsy!"
师徒三人告别了高老爷，高高兴兴地上路了。
The three masters and apprentices said goodbye to Master Gao and set off happily.
